CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
1. SCOPE AND APPLICABILITY This Cancellation and Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs the relationship between Mahaprasadam (hereinafter referred to as “the Trust”) and the devotee/user (“User”) regarding the facilitation of temple prasad delivery services. By placing an order through our platform, the User agrees to the terms and conditions stipulated herein.
2. CANCELLATION POLICY
- User-Initiated Cancellations: Given the sacred and perishable nature of ‘Prasad’ (Food Items), orders once confirmed and processed with the respective temples cannot be cancelled or modified.
Pre-Dispatch Cancellation : As Mahaprasadam orders involve administrative, payment processing, and procurement arrangements, cancellation requests received within 2 hours of order placement may be accepted subject to a 5% cancellation charge on the total order value.
After 2 hours of order placement, or once the procurement process has been initiated by the Trust, the order shall be considered final and non-cancellable.
In exceptional circumstances, cancellation requests may be reviewed at the sole discretion of the Trust.
- Trust-Initiated Cancellations: The Trust reserves the right to cancel an order due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., temple closures, ritual restrictions, or logistical blockers). In such cases, a 100% refund will be issued.
3. REFUND ELIGIBILITY AND FSSAI COMPLIANCE Pursuant to FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) guidelines regarding perishable food items:
- Damaged or Defective Items: If the Prasad is received in a damaged condition or the packaging is tampered with, the User must report the issue within 6 hours of delivery with photographic evidence.
- Non-Delivery: If an order is not delivered due to a technical error or logistical failure on the part of our delivery partners, the User is eligible for a full refund.
- Quality Concerns: As the Trust acts as a facilitator for Prasad from established religious institutions, we ensure hygiene during transit. However, refunds based on personal taste or subjective quality of the temple-prepared prasad will not be entertained.
4. REFUND MECHANISM AND RBI GUIDELINES In compliance with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations for digital payment refunds:
- Source of Refund: All approved refunds will be credited back to the original payment method (Bank Account, UPI, or Credit/Debit Card) used at the time of transaction.
- Timeline: Once the refund is initiated by the Trust, it typically takes 5 to 7 working days for the amount to reflect in the User's account, depending on the banking partner’s processing cycle.
- Refundable Charges: Any convenience fees or platform handling charges applied at the time of checkout are fully refundable to the users.
5. EXCLUSIONS No refunds shall be issued in the following scenarios:
- Incorrect or incomplete delivery address provided by the User.
- Unavailability of the recipient at the time of delivery.
- Refusal to accept the delivery of the sacred Prasad.
6. GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL For any queries related to cancellations or refunds, the User may contact our team at.
